A recent innovation in automotive air conditioning has everyone talking. A new type of refrigerant, called R-1234yf, is being introduced to the US market from Europe, sparking conversation about environmental and cost concerns.
R-1234yf is designed to produce dramatically fewer greenhouse gas emissions than its current alternate, R-134a. It has a 100-year Global Warming Potential (GWP) rating of 4, as opposed to the current refrigerant in use, R-134a, which has a 100-year GWP of 1,430. Though it is more expensive, this new refrigerant has great potential for decreasing the environmental impact of vehicles on a large scale, helping us to keep Ventura clean and beautiful.
AWS Automotive is committed to delivering automotive care that caters to environmental concerns, as well as being cost-effective. The secret to achieving this is all in the approach. Buying a used car is a big investment that can have lasting consequences-- either positive or negative. In order to ensure your investment is a sound one, it is critical to get a pre-purchase inspection before purchasing that used car you are considering. At our Ventura auto repair shop, AWS Automotive can help you make an educated decision before buying.
People sell cars for two main reasons:
Either they are upgrading to a newer car, or the car that they plan to sell has problems that are out of their reach financially to resolve. One would hope that the seller would always be straightforward about the condition of the car, but unfortunately, that is not always the case. All too often, people will buy a used car without properly inspecting it beforehand, only to find that it has catastrophic issues soon afterward.
Pre-purchase inspections not only protect the buyer, but also set both parties? understanding for the purchase by clarifying the true condition of the car, and therefore its true value. This means that both the buyer and the seller can walk away from the transaction knowing that it was a fair purchase.
At AWS Automotive in Ventura, we charge $125 for most pre-purchase inspections, examine the vehicle bumper-to-bumper, and give you a report of all of our findings. Additionally, we always offer the first five minutes of the inspection for free, and if it is immediately apparent that the car is not suitable for purchase, we will let you know free of charge. Do not make the mistake of driving off with a used car that has not been inspected! Call or visit AWS Automotive for additional information about pre-purchase inspections today!

As an avid supporter of the Boys and Girls Club organization, AWS automotive has gladly maintained the entire armada of vehicles in use by the Boys and Girls Club at a significantly discounted rate for the last seven years and they will continue doing so in the future.

AWS happily backs the organization which helps youth's to reach their full potential.
The Boys and Girls Club is particularly endearing to AWS in part because AWS owner Larry Ehrhardt was a member of the organization who spent a significant amount of time with the club in his youth.
The Boys and Girls Club's positive impact on youth's can be observed in many ways. For example, kids involved with the organization are more likely to graduate from high school and they've also been demonstrated to record a 0% teen pregnancy rate.
For an organization that contributes in such positive ways to society AWS graciously and enthusiastically offers its support to the BGCA in any way they can.

1/1/2016We've decided to wear mohawks in memory of Mason Naimo. The Naimo's are a local Ventura family grieving the loss of their 6-year-old son who passed away on September 28, 2014. There is never a good time to say goodbye, and parting ways with a young child is perhaps the most difficult loss of all. Mason was a fiesty spirit who wore his hair in a mohawk, so in honor and remembrance of him we've decided to adopt the style as well - "Mohawks for Mason". A memorial fund raiser is underway - you may contribute by visiting this link http://www.gofundme.com/f5lvjo. AWS Automotive proudly supports the Mason Naimo Memorial Fund and we greatly encourage you to donate whatever is in your heart to the cause - the Naimo family sincerely appreciates any support you may offer. Mason's memorial service is scheduled for tomorrow, October 11, 2014 at Camarillo Community Church - service begins at 1pm. All are invited and we encourage you to wear bright colors and mohawks in celebration of Mason's life. If you can't contribute funding you may still feel free to attend the service or reach out to the Naimo family to offer your condolences. Please share this with your friends and family.
Thank you, AWS Automotive.
